AWAKE Messaging Guide
Use ready-to-adapt 2026 copy across announcements, email, bulletin, slides, and social channels.
Use one clear message everywhere.
Start with ready-to-use copy for the channels your church already uses: platform announcements, email, bulletin, slides, and social posts.
Keep every piece focused on the same action: pray for students, claim a campus, and join AWAKE throughout August 2026.

Short version
This August, churches across Florida are joining together for Back to School Prayer 2026: AWAKE. We are claiming a campus, praying for students and educators, and asking God to awaken His Church for the next generation. You can join by praying, walking, gathering, or helping commission students throughout the month.
Call to action
Today, choose a campus or support the campus commitment our church is making. We want every school near us to be covered in prayer as the year begins.
Use this checklist
- Pair the announcement with one visible link or QR code.
- Name the campus if your church has already chosen one.
- Repeat the same invitation for at least two Sundays.
Proclamation request language
Use this while the request for an August 2026 proclamation is awaiting a decision.
Platform sentence
An application has been submitted to the Governor's Office requesting that August 2026 be proclaimed Back to School Prayer Over Students Month. While the request is considered, our church is beginning now to pray for students, educators, families, and schools.
Email sentence
Churches across Florida are praying as the new school year begins, and we are inviting every family, small group, and ministry team to help cover a campus in prayer.
Use this checklist
- Do not describe the request as an official proclamation unless the Governor's Office approves it.
- Keep the main action clear: pray, claim a campus, and invite others into August prayer.
- Check back2schoolprayer.org for the current request status before publishing this language.
Email and bulletin copy
Use this when people need the details in writing.
