Prayer & Sending Sunday
A simple three-to-five minute worship guide that helps a church pray with purpose and send students to live on mission.
Turn one Sunday moment into a year of faithful prayer.
Use this guide as a concise moment inside an existing worship service. It does not require a separate event or a long presentation.
The commissioning certificate can be offered separately or included as an optional part of the commissioning moment.
Introduce the invitation
Explain why the church is praying as a new school year begins.
Say this
As another school year begins, students, teachers, administrators, coaches, and families are preparing for a new season. Today we join churches across Florida in asking God to bless our schools and bring the hope of Christ to every student.
Use this checklist

- Keep the explanation hopeful, local, and concise.

Students

Students living on mission
Pray for courage, compassion, wisdom, and natural opportunities to share hope.
Teachers and staff
Pray for wisdom, strength, encouragement, and favor.
School leadership and families
Pray for sound decisions, strong homes, peace, protection, and God’s presence.

- Ask the church to extend a hand or gather nearby with no pressure.
Send students to live on mission
Pray over students and send them into their schools as ambassadors for Christ.
Commissioning words
Live boldly for Jesus Christ. Pray faithfully for fellow students, teachers, and school leaders. Share the hope of the Gospel. Encourage other believers. Support Christian students and trusted ministries already serving your campus.
Commissioning Scripture
Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. — 1 Timothy 4:12
