Families, small groups, youth ministries, staff teams, and Sunday prayer leaders can pray the same focus.
Choose one campus and pray for it by name every day.
Day 1
Students
Pray for students to begin the year awake to God, rooted in identity, and surrounded by wise community.
Prompt
Lord, give students courage, peace, belonging, and a living faith that travels with them into classrooms, teams, and friendships.
Practice
Name students in your family, church, and neighborhood. Pray for them one by one.
- Pray for students who are anxious about the new year.
- Pray for students who will be new to a school.
- Pray for students who feel unseen or alone.
Day 2
Teachers and school staff
Ask God to strengthen the adults who serve students every day.
Prompt
Lord, give teachers wisdom, patience, protection, and joy. Help every staff member see the value of the students in their care.
Practice
Send one note of encouragement to a teacher, administrator, coach, counselor, or staff member.
- Pray for classrooms to be places of peace and order.
- Pray for staff members carrying heavy personal burdens.
- Pray for coaches, counselors, nurses, bus drivers, and support teams.
Day 3
Families
Pray for homes to become places of blessing, stability, and spiritual formation.
Prompt
Lord, strengthen parents, guardians, grandparents, and caregivers. Fill homes with grace, provision, and steady love.
Practice
Pray at a meal, bedtime, or drive time using the name of the campus your church is claiming.
- Pray for families under financial stress.
- Pray for foster, adoptive, blended, and single-parent homes.
- Pray for parents to disciple students with patience and confidence.
Day 4
Churches
Pray that churches respond with unity, humility, and sustained commitment.
Prompt
Lord, awaken Your Church. Make us faithful neighbors to students, families, educators, and schools.
Practice
Ask one ministry team how they can bless students or educators this month.
- Pray for churches to collaborate across cities and counties.
- Pray for pastors to lead with clarity and courage.
- Pray for volunteers who will serve students this school year.
Day 5
Campuses
Pray for every school campus to be marked by safety, peace, wisdom, and open doors for care.
Prompt
Lord, let this campus become a place where students are protected, known, challenged, and loved.
Practice
Drive by or walk near the campus from public space and pray without disrupting school activity.
- Pray for entrances, classrooms, athletic spaces, offices, and gathering areas.
- Pray for wise leadership decisions.
- Pray for students who will step onto campus carrying grief, fear, or isolation.
Day 6
Witness and service
Pray that Christian students and adults carry the hope of Christ naturally and faithfully.
Prompt
Lord, make Your people compassionate, courageous, and ready to serve. Open natural doors for encouragement and Gospel hope.
Practice
Ask God to show your church one practical way to serve a school after the prayer day ends.
- Pray for student leaders and campus ministries.
- Pray for friendships that make the Gospel visible.
- Pray for service that builds trust instead of seeking attention.
Day 7
Awakening
End by asking God for spiritual awakening across the next generation.
Prompt
Lord, awaken students to Your love, awaken churches to prayer, and awaken our state to the hope of Christ.
Practice
Gather with your family, group, or church and pray the theme prayer out loud together.
- Thank God for every school already being prayed for.
- Ask for endurance beyond August 1.
- Invite one more person to pray for the campus your church claimed.
