AWAKE Multi-Church Gathering Guide

Unite churches across a city, county, or region around prayer for the next generation.

Host one room for many churches.

Use this gathering plan when several churches want to pray together for students, educators, schools, and the year ahead.

Keep the gathering simple, unified, and prayer-heavy. The win is not production value; the win is churches standing together for the next generation.

Churches in one room

City, county, association, network, and multi-church gatherings can share one call to prayer.

60 to 75 minutes

Worship, short Scripture, guided prayer, and a campus claim invitation can fit in one focused gathering.

Every church leaves sent

Ask every church represented to claim or adopt a campus before leaving.

01

Host checklist

Confirm the practical pieces early so the night can stay centered on prayer.

Venue

Choose a church, school-approved space, community venue, or neutral location with clear parking and simple wayfinding.

Leadership

Invite several pastors and ministry leaders to own short segments instead of asking one church to carry the room.

Students and educators

Include student voices and educators where appropriate. Keep them honored, not put on display.

  • Set date, time, location, and room host.
  • Confirm worship leader, prayer segment leaders, and a closing CTA speaker.
  • Prepare a list of local campuses that still need prayer coverage.
  • Have the claim form available by QR code or simple URL.

60 to 75 minute run of show

This flow keeps the night moving while leaving real space for prayer.

0:00 - Welcome

Host pastor welcomes churches, names the purpose, and frames the night around unity and prayer for students.

0:07 - Worship

One or two songs that help the room turn toward God without making the night feel like a concert.

0:17 - Scripture and theme

Read Ephesians 5:14 and introduce AWAKE as a call to prayer, witness, and care for schools.

0:25 - Guided prayer blocks

Pray in short segments for students, educators, families, campuses, churches, and awakening.

0:55 - Campus claim invitation

Ask each church to choose a campus and take the next step before leaving the room.

1:05 - Closing blessing

Send churches out to pray, walk, gather, commission students, and continue after August 1.

  • Keep each prayer leader to three or four minutes.
  • Use clear transitions and avoid long speeches.
  • Leave time for people to respond to the campus claim invitation.
03

Prayer segment prompts

Give leaders short prompts so the gathering has one voice even with many churches involved.

Students

Pray for identity in Christ, courage, friendships, protection, and hope for students who feel unseen.

Educators and staff

Pray for wisdom, endurance, safety, leadership, and joy for every adult serving students.

Families

Pray for homes to be strengthened and for caregivers to have patience, provision, and grace.

Churches

Pray for unity, humility, practical service, and lasting commitment beyond one event.

  • Invite the room to pray out loud in small clusters during at least one segment.
  • Use silence when the room needs to slow down.
  • Keep all language constructive toward schools and leaders.
04

Follow-up steps

The gathering should create ongoing prayer coverage, not just a meaningful night.

Within 24 hours

Send every participating church the campus claim link, seven-day prayer rhythm, and next gathering or prayer walk details.

Within one week

List which campuses have been claimed and where another church can step in.

After August 1

Collect stories, share answered prayers, and invite churches into healthy school relationships.

  • Assign one person to gather commitments after the event.
  • Follow up personally with churches that expressed interest but did not claim a campus.
  • Invite churches to share stories from prayer walks or commissioning moments.
Gathering kit

Move every church from the room to a campus.

Close the gathering by helping each church claim a school and choose its next prayer action.
